A Message from Our Pastor

Dear brothers and sisters,

We are truly blessed to share with one another our journey of faith together as members of Saint Helena Catholic Church! No matter what may be happening around us, the parish is our safe haven. It is the place where we can gather together around the Eucharistic Altar to worship our Lord, and to receive Him in His Body and Blood, Soul and Divinity.

Recognizing that the Holy Eucharist is the source and summit of our lives as Christian Catholics (Catechism of the Catholic Church, n. 1324), and keeping in mind the Eucharistic Revival that we are undergoing together with all dioceses in the United States over the next several years, we want to continue to focus on and take to heart the words of our Lord Jesus who tells us: “I am the bread of life; whoever comes to me will never hunger, and whoever believes in me will never thirst.” (John 6:35)

With this in mind, I invite you to respond to our parish’s new stewardship program: God’s Love Unites Us. Please review the contents of this brochure and prayerfully discern how you and you family can play an active role in our parish family’s liturgical life, seeking excellence in our Eucharistic celebrations. Our goal is to increase our Sunday offertory contributions to bring our Lord Jesus Christ to as many people as possible. This is certainly no easy task in today’s climate, but I am confident that together as one parish family, we are up to the challenge.

On October 14th and 15th, the parish will be holding a special Commitment Weekend, inviting members of our parish family to come together and make a financial commitment that will allow Saint Helena Catholic Church to continue this most important work. We are counting on you! By participating in God’s Love Unites Us, we respond generously to God’s great gift of love in His Son, Who gives Himself to us unreservedly in the Holy Eucharist.

Thank you for your generosity, your continued prayers, and your commitment to our parish family of St. Helena!

Blessings,

Fr. Luis
